Ed Parson's Old Ball in Cage Rattle WhimsyThere was a label taped onto the top of this whimsy rattle, which I found in Maine, identifying it as having been caved by Ed Parsons of Stonington who I am pretty certain I have identified as Edward L. Parsons, born in in Rockport, MA in 1879 and buried in Stonington, Maine in 1948. I think it likely thathe carved it for a child or grandchild, and must say it's a pretty satisfying rattle to wave around! A nicely carved one too, with lovely long,
