Château Bessan Ségur, Médoc 2019Smoky red fruits, good acidity and a long spicy finish make this a great choice for dining. Medium bodied, lightly tannic, with ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, and toasty oak flavours. The Chteau, which dates from the fifteenth century, belonged to successive Comtes of Sgur Cabanac until 1888 and then, to a Bordeaux wine merchant, M. Saint Cyr Mortier. The Lacombe family are its current occupants.
