Palladian Pier Mirror circa 1740A fine Palladian gilt wood frame circa 1740 having four outset corners with quatrefoil rosettes in each corner and floral drops down each side with egg and dart molding bordered by bead and reel molding and sanded gilding on the flat, the glass surrounded by gadroon molding. The frame is substantially deep. Gilding is dry stripped, patched and refreshed where necessary. Glass mirror plate is old but likely not original. Ht. 50 3 4, W. 34 7 8
