You do not need to buy this unless you want to mount that SAME BINDING on another pair of skis, and spread the cost of one pair of BMF bindings across your quiver. Each BMF Switch Plate is mounted directly to your ski with nine ski screws, and the binding attaches to the plate with four bindings screws that allow you to quickly transfer your bindings between multiple pairs of skis.
