A "Kont" is a type of basket (or today we would most likely say backpack) that was used and made in the rural northern part of Sweden from sometime in the 19th century up until the mid 20th century. Often used by workers to carry a variety of stuff around on there backs. This particular example is of rare large size with its original leather traps and wooden locking
