Floral frontier to the rising peakRichard Bothma Acrylic on Canvas 180cm x 150cm 1 1 Floral Frontier to the Rising Peak is inspired by a hike I did in Cape Town, looking through the fynbos hillside toward Lions Head. I wanted to capture that rare stillness in the moment, with the Capes ever changing clouds rolling in around the peak. Painted in acrylics, I used layered brushwork to bring out the texture of the fynbos and expressive strokes for the movement in the sky.
