PAULINA NOWIK

Customer Care Representative

Hi! My name is Paulina. I am originally from Poland, where I first got interested in horses as a little girl. Since getting my first horse at 15 years old, it’s been a whirlwind of events that got me to where I am today. I am very passionate about the general topic of horse’s wellbeing as well as rehab. I have been through some tough times with my horses and it made me so much more interested in the injury diagnosis and rehabilitation part of horse ownership. I am excited to learn more about those topics and share my knowledge with others.

Yazmin Rivera

Veterinary Technician

My name is Yazmin A. Rivera Torres and I was born and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico. I moved to the United States in August 11, 2017 accompanied by my mom. I didn’t speak or understand any English at the time and neither did my mother. That’s why I took it upon myself to learn the language while also attending school. It was a very hard task at the time, and had a lot of difficulty in the beginning adjusting. But with the help of God and family members, I was able to start understanding and speaking the language at only 3 months of having gotten here to the US. I then moved from Pace, Fl to Gainesville, Fl where I continued my last year of high school. I then graduated in 2019 and later started studying in a program that lasted 2 years, to become a Veterinary Technician in City College at Gainesville, FL. There I learned a lot and did one of my last Externships at Marion Veterinary Hospital. Finished the program and graduated in July 17, 2022. After graduation, I started working at Marion Veterinary Hospital and worked with small animals for almost 2 years. Today, I find myself working at PEVS and can’t wait to see what the future holds for me!
